A Second Chance Exhibition

A Second Chance is a cross-disciplinary project by students from Swinburne's Advanced Diploma of Interior Design, Advanced Diploma of Events, and Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural).

Students explored the idea of repurposing some of Melbourne’s most iconic buildings by providing interior design concepts that re-imagined these empty buildings into temporary accommodation and drop-in centres for the homeless.

The project involved understanding how to work within a cross-disciplinary team. Students incorporated indegenous methodologies of learning, listening, and doing, in consultation with Swinburne’s Moondani Toombadool Centre. 

This virtual exhibition showcases the students' work, and includes a web series featuring discussions about the underlying design process.
