About the scholarship

Summary

Swinburne University of Technology is committed to improving the educational outcomes of care experienced students - students who have experienced formal ‘out-of-home care’ (e.g. foster care, kindship, residential or permanent care).  We offer a number of Care Leaver Bursaries to help students achieve their academic goals.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

Applicants must be: 

  • an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident
  • have spent time in formal 'out of home care' in Australia. (e.g. foster care, kindship, residential or permanent care).
Enrolment criteria

Applicants must be: 

  • enrolled in a vocational education (VE) course full-time or part-time.
Selection criteria

Applications will be assessed based on having been in formal out of home care (e.g. foster care, kindship, residential or permanent care).
